AMATEUR BASEBALL: Milroy Irish shut out Adrian in eight innings

MILROY — The Milroy Irish were able to put together multi-run innings and strong defense to defeat Adrian 10-0 in eight innings on Wednesday.

Kenny Morris threw seven shutout innings on the mound and struck out nine batters to earn the win.

Tyler Peterson went 4 for 5 with three runs scored to lead the Irish offensive attack. Brady Lanoue added a pair of doubles in the win while Derek Riley scored twice on three hits.

The Irish (16-2, 13-0 Gopher) host Minneota on Friday.
