PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: No. 1 Minneota rolls past MACCRAY, 76-35

MINNEOTA — The top-ranked Minneota Vikings girls basketball team defeated MACCRAY 76-35 on Friday.

Abby and Morgan Hennen led Minneota, both recording 18 points in the game.

Lydia Sussner added 15 points, 10 rebounds, five assists and eight steals for the Vikings.

Piper Asche scored 21 points to lead MACCRAY.

Minneota (16-0) hosts Ortonville on Monday night at 6 p.m.

GRANITE FALLS — Lac qui Parle Valley defeated Yellow Medicine East 62-45 on Friday.

The loss snapped an eight-game win streak for YME.

Haley Wollschlager and Grace Hegland led LQPV with 15 points apiece.

Mackenzie Dyrdahl scored 12 points to lead the Sting, while Madison Hinz added 11 points.

YME (9-4) hosts BOLD on Monday.

OKABENA — Murray County Central picked up a 66-42 road victory over Heron Lake-Okabena on Friday.

Nate Everson led MCC with 17 points, four rebounds and four assists.

Mason Woldt added 12 points and six rebounds in the win, while Spencer Waje finished with 11 points.

Eli Fest and Ethan Koep scored eight points apiece to lead HLO.

MCC (12-4) hosts Red Rock Central on Tuesday.
