SMSU WRESTLING: SMSU earn five place winners at DWU Open
MITCHELL, S.D. – The Southwest Minnesota State wrestling team opened its season on Saturday recording a handful of place winners at the Dakota Wesleyan Open.
Cortez Arrendondo took home third place with a 5-1 record at 157 pounds, while Jack Ryan also finished 5-1 to earn third place at 197 pounds. Heavyweight Andrew Petersen also took home third place with a 4-1 record.
Kegen Fingalsen went 4-2 to finish fifth at 165, while Dru Kuchenbaker also finished fifth at 174 with a mark of 4-2.
Southwest Minnesota State returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 17, competing at the Augsburg Open.
