SMSU SOCCER: SMSU drops match to U-Mary on Friday night

MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s soccer team dropped a 1-0 match against the University of Mary on Friday afternoon at the Schwan Regional Event Center.

SMSU (3-9, 3-7 NSIC) was unable to respond after U-Mary (3-6-2, 4-6-2 NSIC) scored in the 23rd minute.

Malia Brudvik scored in the 23rd minute for the Marauders, unassisted and her first of the season after the officials call was overturned to confirm.

Mustang goalkeeper Jessica Craigmile recorded seven saves.

The Mustangs host Minot State on Sunday at noon for senior day at the Schwan Regional Event Center.
