SMSU CROSS COUNTRY: SMSU ready to compete in UW-La Crosse Invite Saturday
MARSHALL – The Southwest Minnesota State University women’s and men’s cross country teams will have their final race prior to the conference championship in November when the Mustangs run on Saturday at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse Drews/Neubauer Invite.
The race will take place at Ettrick Golf Club in Ettrick, Wisconsin. The women’s 6,000 meter race will start at 11 a.m., followed by the men’s 8,000 meter race at 11:40 a.m.
SMSU last competed at the Roy Griak Invite on Sept. 29 with Kayla Jansky pacing the Mustang women’s team with a time of 25:26 in the 6,000 meter race to place 100th, while Bashir Aidrus ran the 8,000 meter race at 26:41 to finish in 15th place.
Following this weekend’s race, SMSU will compete at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships on Nov. 3 in Aberdeen, South Dakota.
