PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Minneota takes first place at Eastview tournament

APPLE VALLEY – The Minneota volleyball team earned a first-place finish at the Eastview tournament over the weekend, defeating Robbinsdale Armstrong (25-18, 25-14), Dilworth-Glynden Felton (25-10, 25-10), Waconia (25-9, 25-17), Shakopee (25-23, 25-23) and Eastview (25-21, 25-22).

Lydia Sussner led the way for the Vikings with 58 total kills while Natalee Rolbiecki added 24 and Morgan Hennen had 12. Abby Hennen led in digs with 94 total while Lizzy Gillingham added 46. Morgan Kockelman led in set assists with 127 total while Sussner led in blocks with 14 total.

Minneota will face MACCRAY tonight for the conference championship at 7 p.m. in Clara City.

Bachman Invite

LAKEVILLE – The Marshall volleyball team earned a seventh-place finish at the Bachman Invite hosted by Lakeville North on Saturday.

On Friday, the Tigers defeated Eden Prairie 2-1 (21-25, 25-16, 15-8) and Rochester Mayo 2-0 (25-21, 25-12) before falling to East Ridge 2-1 (25-18, 14-25, 4-15) to close pool play and advance to the Silver Bracket.

On Saturday, Marshall fell to Rochester Century 2-1 (25-21, 17-25, 16-18) before defeating Caledonia 2-0 (25-13, 25-14) to go 3-2 on the tournament.

Bria Morris led the way for the Tigers with 40 total kills while Paige Andries added 27, Logan Sherman had 26, Jordyn Hilgemann had 24 and Sofie Bock had 21. Mia Schnaible led in digs with 50 total while Erica Jones added 31. Andries led in blocks with eight total while Rachel Schwarz led in set assists with 71 total and Sherman added 61.

Marshall will close out its regular season with a matchup against TMB on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

October Classic

APPLE VALLEY – The Tracy-Milroy-Balaton volleyball team went 1-3 at the October Classic over the weekend. The Panthers defeated Winona 2-0 (25-16, 25-22) and fell to Burnsville (20-25, 22-25), Minneapolis Southwest (14-25, 25-27) and Pequot Lakes (10-25, 21-25).

Samantha Edwards led the way for the Panthers with 28 total kills while Kylie Hensch added 14 and Margaret Dolan had nine. Brooklyn Ludeman led in digs with 38 total while Maddi Langerock added 19 and Dolan had 18. Langerock led in set assists with 56 total.

TMB will face Pipestone Area today at 7:15 p.m. before closing out the regular season against Marshall on Thursday at 7:15 p.m.
