SMSU SOFTBALL: Mustangs’ NSIC opener moved to Wednesday

MARSHALL – Southwest Minnesota State University head softball coach Jamie Dunn announced Monday that SMSU’s Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference doubleheader at the University of Sioux Falls scheduled for today has now been postponed one day and will now be played on Wednesday at Sherman Park in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

The doubleheader will begin at 2 p.m.

Dunn also announced that officials from SMSU, Sioux Falls, Winona State and Upper Iowa are working on field locations to play this Friday and Saturday’s scheduled doubleheaders. SMSU was scheduled to host Upper Iowa on Friday and Winona State on Saturday at Mustang Field. A decision will be made by mid-week.

SMSU, 5-10 overall, will be looking to play its first game since March 8.
