PREP BOYS HOCKEY: Four Tigers take home All-Conference honors

MARSHALL — The Big South Conference announced its boys hockey all-conference team on Monday.

Conference champion Luverne had three seniors make the team in Declan Beers, Kasyn Kruse and Daniel Tofteland.

Marshall’s three representatives were senior Chase VanDeVere, junior Mason Plante and sophomore Kaleb Welvaert.

Danny McCabe and Matthew Plieseis made the squad for Minnesota River, while Waseca had Brett Attenberger and Peter Meyer make the team.

Also included on the team were Landon Strong (New Ulm), Luke Ryan (Redwood Valley) and Ethan Becker (Windom Area).

Included as honorable mentions were Trey Roberts (Luverne), Tyson Sowder (Minnesota River), Hunter Wilmes (Minnesota River), Andrew Regner (Minnesota River), Dominik Caspers (Marshall), Glavine Schugel (New Ulm) and Luke Scheid (New Ulm).

Marshall finish third in the Big South with a 12-3-1 record in conference play.
