PREP BOYS BASKETBALL: Camden Conference announces All-Conference teams for boys basketball

MARSHALL — The Camden Conference released its all-conference teams on Monday.

Dawson-Boyd had four players named to the team. Alex Swenson was recognized as MVP of the North Division, and he was joined by Bentley Boike, Colton Husby and Romell Horton as all-conference honorees. Additionally, Blackjacks coach Cory Larson was named North Coach of the Year.

Lac qui Parle Valley’s two representatives on the team were Caden Bjornheld and Isaac Gerdes, while Justin Shrupp and Nathan Serbus made the team from Renville County West.

Josh Peterson and Weston Gjerde of Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg made the team, while Austin TeBrake (Central Minnesota Christian) and Blake Wadsworth round out the North Division.

Named as North Division honorable mentions were Braden Hoekstra (MACCRAY), Jake Meyer (CMCS), Regan Carlson (KMS), Austin Bonn (LQPV) and Jake Lee (DB).

In the South, Russell-Tyler-Ruthton’s state championship squad had Westin Kirk, Garrett Kern, and Carter and Cooper Hansen all make the team, with Ted Kern named South Coach of the Year.

Minneota was represented by Thomas Hennen (South MVP), Logan Sussner and Isaac Hennen, while Tate Varpness and Jarod Goepferich made the team from Lakeview. Rounding out the South team was Zach Durfee (Canby), Carter Sneller (Yellow Medicine East) and Moses Dolan (Tracy-Milroy-Balaton).

Named as South Division honorable mentions were Fritz Landherr (TMB), Jacob Hennen (Minneota), Riley Kockelman (Canby), Jonah Johnson (RTR), Trent Skjefte (YME) and Kailen French (Lakeview).
