SMSU TENNIS: SMSU drops final match in North Dakota on Saturday

BISMARCK, N.D. – The Southwest Minnesota State women’s tennis lost to MSU Moorhead by a score of 7-2 on Saturday in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference women’s tennis at the Capital Racquet and Fitness Center.

SMSU picked up a victory at No. 2 doubles as Paige Janka and Olivia Watzke defeated Alexis Konecne and Swenne Albert, 8-4.

Cora Delich earned SMSU’s lone point in singles play with a 6-3, 6-2 win over Olivia Keelin at No. 2 singles.

Southwest Minnesota State, 3-6 overall, 1-5 NSIC, will now step out of conference play for the next few weeks. SMSU returns to action on March 4 in Orlando, Florida, taking on Rockhurst University.
