SMSU TRACK AND FIELD: Mustangs tally several top-three finishes in MSU Invite
MANKATO — Southwest Minnesota State had three student-athletes finish in the top three of their respective events including second place finishes by a pair of freshman on Friday in the Minnesota State Invite.
Freshman Isaiah Nelson, finished in second place in the men’s triple jump with a 13.48m jump in the finals.
Rebecca Manteuffel, also a true freshman, finished in second in the women’s shot put with a throw of 11.84m in the finals.
Kayla Jansky placed third in the women’s mile with a time of 5:33.86.
Southwest Minnesota State will return to competition on Jan. 19 in the South Dakota State DII Invite in Brookings, S.D.
