PREP SPORTS ROUNDUP: Blackjacks defeat CMCS

DAWSON – The Dawson-Boyd girls basketball team defeated Central Minnesota Christian 50-43 on Thursday.

Hannah Stelter and Alex Sather led the way for the Blackjacks with 12 points each while Avery Bartunek added 11 and Mary Bothun had nine. Bartunek led in rebounds with 11 and in assists with five.

DB (4-2) will face Ortonville next Thursday at 7:15 p.m.

Montana Beckmann led the way for the Rebels with 14 points while Riley Schmitz and Rachel Van Iperen each added 13 and Alyssa Groves had 12. Van Iperen led in rebounds with 11 while Riley Schmitz, Beckmann and Shelby Christensen led in steals with four apiece.

MCC (3-4) will face Red Rock Central on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.

Alex Swenson led the way for the Blackjacks with 20 points while Seth Stratmoen had 12 and Bentley Boike and Joe Anyasike each added 11. Swenson also led in rebounds with 13 while Colton Husby added 12. Swenson led in assists with eight, just two shy of completing the triple-double.

Dawson-Boyd (3-1) will face Renville County West today at 7:15 p.m.

Nick Lindstrom led the way for the Sting with 11 points while Trent Skjefte added eight. Skjefte and Lindstrom led in rebounds with four each.

RTR (4-0) will face Tracy-Milroy-Balaton on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. while YME wil face Canby on Monday at 7:15 p.m.
