MILROY – The Marshall Orange VFW baseball team played a pair of games Tuesday evening at Irish Yard. Marshall got the night started with a 17-7 victory over Redwood County. Marshall dropped their second game of the night to Tracy, 13-7.

Marshall’s bats erupted for 12 hits and 17 runs against Redwood County. Jordan Mernaugh recorded three hits, including two doubles. He also drove in three runs and scored four runs.

Brayden Hilgemann and Connor Roth both picked up two hits. Zach Olsen, Jacob Hughes and Konnor Aufenthie all drove in two runs.

Hilgemann recorded two hits for Marshall against Tracy. Mernaugh drove in a pair of runs and hit his third double of the night. Peyton Grant, Aufenthie and Dillon Loft all drove in one run.

For Tracy, Jake Byrne, Griffin Radke and Caleb Nordsiden all recorded two hits. Tyler Timm drove in four runs. Rylan Fogelson chipped in with two RBIs.

Fogelson was equally as effective on the mound, recording nine strikeouts in 5.2 innings pitched.
