MILROY- Tyler Peterson drove in six runs and the Milroy Irish got a strong pitching performance from Isaac Dolan en route to a 10-0 victory over the Heron Lake Lakers Saturday, earning them a spot in the regional tournament.
Peterson helped break the game open in the second inning thanks to a grand slam. Dolan struck out three and walked just one in six innings of work. Derek Riley, Dakota Freiborg and Anthony Dolan each chipped in one RBI.
After a scoreless first inning, Anthony Dolan got the first Irish run across the plate with a sacrifice fly that scored Mason Schnaible.

Milroy then got an RBI single from Clay Ellis and an RBI single from Derek Riley.
They added three more in the third inning via a sacrifice fly from Dakota Freiborg and a two-RBI single from Peterson.
Milroy Manager Bob Dolan has been impressed with the hitting of Peterson all season.
"The grand slam was a nice way to open things up in the second inning," Dolan said. "He's been hitting well for us all year, so I stuck him in the cleanup spot the last two games and it has worked pretty well."
Bob Dolan was also impressed with the way Isaac Dolan attacked the strikezone.
"I thought he had good control right away and he threw a lot of strikes," Dolan said. "I liked the way he attacked the plate. It was good to see."
Ike Rogers, Mark Fest and Chad Knutson had the three hits for Heron Lake while Alex Meyer took the loss on the mound.
Meyer lasted just 1 2-3 innings and allowed seven runs on seven hits.
He struck out three and walked two.
Garret Rogers pitched 4 1-3 innings and struck out two while walking one.
Heron Lake coach Isaac Fest knew his team just didn't have it that game.
"We used Alex a lot during the year," Lakers manager Isaac Fest said. "We just didn't make the plays that we needed to behind him and it snowballed.
