Condelli treasurer of Concert Choir at SMSU

Justin Condelli, a senior music education major from Marshall, is the treasurer of the Concert Choir at Southwest Minnesota State University for the 2012-2013 academic year.

The underlying purpose of the Concert Choir is to provide opportunities for the University's student body to participate in choral singing as a cultural, educational and artistic endeavor. The SMSU Concert Choir is the university's elite, mixed choral ensemble. The ensemble specializes in the performance of a wide range of sacred and secular choral literature of all historical periods, voicings and nationalities. Repertoire includes unaccompanied works for a cappella choir as well as works performed with professional instrumental ensembles. The SMSU Concert Choir is open to all students, regardless of major, by audition. The choir is recognized as "musical ambassadors for the state of Minnesota" in the United States and has received numerous awards.

Fator vice president of the Concert Choir at SMSU

Alyssa Fator, a sophomore music education major from Marshall, is the vice president of the Concert Choir at Southwest Minnesota State University for the 2012-2013 academic year.

Larsen president of the Criminal Justice Club at SMSU

Andrew Larsen, a junior law enforcement major from Marshall, is the president of the Criminal Justice Club at Southwest Minnesota State University for the 2013- 2014 academic year.

The criminal justice club allows student to explore different aspects of the justice system, from going on prison tours to inviting professionals in to speak. The club attends the annual Minnesota Corrections Association (MCA) Conference and members can also choose to participate in the annual crime day event that gets area fourth-graders involved in various crime solving activities.

Rodriguez vice president of GLBTA Club at SMSU

Jesus Rodriguez, a junior art major from Marshall, is the vice president of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Ally Club (GLBTA) at Southwest Minnesota State University for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Being Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender is an understanding that people come of themselves. With this understanding comes the necessity that people who are "out" know that they can live whole meaningful and productive lives. Through support, educational programs and social events, GLBTA hopes to increase sensitivity and knowledge of GLBT issues within the heterosexual community while creating a safe environment free from discrimination for its members.
