SCD to sponsor Lenten lunches Thursdays

The Slayton Catholic Daughters will sponsor a luncheon each Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at St. Ann's Church, Divine Mercy Hall, Slayton. The menu includes sandwiches, salads and desserts. Carryouts are available by calling 507-836-8030. Thursday's lunch will include stroganoff sandwiches.

Soup and Sermon Wednesdays at Christ United

Ecumenical Soup and Sermon is every Wednesday during Lent at Christ United Presbyterian Church. Soup is served at 11:45 a.m. and the sermon is delivered at 12:05 p.m. The event is sponsored by the Marshall Area Ministerial Association.

Chili and soup dinner March 10 at St. Eloi

St. Eloi Catholic Church in Ghent is having a chili and soup dinner on Sunday, March 10, sponsored by the Catholic Order of Foresters. Dinner will be served 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the St. Eloi church basement. A silent auction will be held; bidding closes at 12:45 p.m. Free bingo with prizes given, played from 12:15-1:15 p.m. Matching funds provided by COF for St. Eloi religious education.

Fuller installed this weekend at First Lutheran

Installation services for the Rev. Scott Fuller will take place at First Lutheran Church in Marshall at all services - at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and at 8:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. Sunday. Fuller comes to Marshall from Anchorage, Alaska, where he served for 13 years as pastor of Gloria Dei Lutheran. A reception is planned between Sunday services at 9:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall.

Special worship, healing service Saturday at Victory Christian

The public is invited to a special worship and healing service at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Victory Christian Church in Balaton. The evening will include praise and worship, as well as the opportunity for people to receive prayer for spiritual, emotional and physical healing and deliverance. Victory is located at 1010 Lake Yankton Ave. in the East Bay addition on U.S. Highway 14, just east of Balaton. For more information, call the church at 507-734-2771.
