Are we still a Christian nation?

February 14, 2013

To the editor:

It seems that the truths of the Bible, written in ancient times, used to anchor our country in a moral society, has been downgraded to where they have become almost meaningless.

The Ten Commandment plaques being forced off of State government property. The word "marriage" from ancient times being a man and woman now has been scrapped to include something different. Prayer and religious activity has been removed from schools to satisfy a minority of people. Gays can now be preachers in our churches. Now a minority of people strive to allow gays to be leaders of our youth by letting them be Boy Scout leaders.

I hate to think it, but Obama is probably right when he said, "We are no longer a Christian nation." He was bragging, but I disagree and feel very sad about it.
