Quinn Horvath struck for goals early in the second period to give the Marshall boys' hockey team a 2-0 road win over LeSueur-Henderson/St. Peter/Tri-City United Friday night at the LeSueur Community Center.
Marshall was outshot 15-7 by the Bulldogs in the first period, but came back with a fury in the second period to pick up two goals in just over three minutes of action.
Horvath struck for his first goal just 25 seconds into the second period on an assist from Beau Mikel and Alex Buysse. Buysse and Mikel assisted on Horvath's second goal as well, which came 3 minutes, 14 seconds into the period.
The Tigers outshot the Bulldogs 17-8 in the second period and fought off a couple of power plays in the third period to hold on for the 2-0 win. Marshall ended the game with a 36-30 edge in shots on goal.
Marshall goaltender Mason Campion was a wall at the net, saving all 30 shots he faced to earn the shutout.
The Tigers move to 5-3 overall while handing the Bulldogs (2-5-1 overall) their fourth straight loss.
