North Star promotes two

North Star Mutual Insurance of Cottonwood recently announced the promotions of Todd Bossuyt and Deb Trevett.

Bossuyt has been promoted to vice president of Underwriting. He began employment in April of 1999 as a field representative for southwest Minnesota. Since that time, he has served North Star as an assistant manager and manager of the Auto Underwriting Department and manager of Farm Underwriting Department. Bossuyt and his wife, Janelle, live in Cottonwood with their children, Brock and Reagan.

Deb Trevett has been promoted to department manager of the Commercial Underwriting Department. She began employment in May 2011 and she served North Star as an assistant manager for the same department prior to her promotion. Trevett and her husband, Paul, live in Marshall with their son, Nicholas.

Royal Tire promotes Johnson to Marshall store manager

Brady Johnson has been promoted to the position of commercial store manager at Royal Tire of Marshall. Royal Tire, with 18 upper Midwest locations, is the largest Minnesota-based tire dealer and specializes in commercial and off-road tires sales and service in its Marshall location.

Johnson joined the Royal Tire team in July of 2011 after graduating from North Dakota State University with a degree in business administration. He began his career with Royal Tire in the Commercial Store Manager Training program. He moved to Marshall in April 2012 as the assistant store manager of the Marshall Store, and became the interim store manager in August of this year.

Detert honored with Physician Excellence Award

Affiliated Community Medical Centers announces that ACMC-Litchfield Family Medicine physician, Dr. Dave Detert, has been awarded the 2012 ACMC Physician Excellence Award. This award is given annually to one physician chosen from the entire ACMC system of more than 100 physicians in recognition of an individual's service to patients, community, profession and colleagues.

In 1982 Dr. Detert began his medical practice with ACMC in Redwood Falls. In 1988 he was asked by ACMC to start a new Family Medicine clinic in Litchfield. His dedication and leadership during the past 24 years in Litchfield has helped to grow the practice to its current 13 medical providers. He was also instrumental in guiding two clinics in Litchfield to merge into one practice.

In recognition of Dr. Detert's service to country, community, patients and colleagues, ACMC presented him with the Physician Excellence Award. He also received a crystal statue and a donation to the charity of his choice.

Turkey Valley Farms receives 'A' in audit

Turkey Valley Farms recently went though a comprehensive and global food safety audit driven by the Global Food Safety Initiative under the British Retail Consortium level of compliance.

Ensuring compliance in every area of a food processing facility takes 100 percent participation and engagement of all plant team members, from the general manager to each employee.

After completing the three-day audit conducted by NSF International in August, Turkey Valley Farms received the highest score possible.
