Doctors prescribe speed under how many different names and opiates like candy so it's understandable how some could doubt. But if you have an empathetic or sympathetic bone in your body you can't look past the potential of a better quality of life for people in some tough situations. Dayton's cop thing is a hedge. He needs to find direction from those that deal with treating the sick, not chasing recreational users. That's another discussion for another time.

It's the legal pharmaceuticals that need more regulation, testing, and less advertising so we don't think we need a drug for everything that ails us.

This is a difficult issue. It is hard to believe that some people are being denied treatment just because we can't figure out a way to distribute the drug safely and appropriately. If more than half of the other states have figured it out,why not here? Recreational availability and Medial availability are completely separate issues and should be evaluated as such. Putting our head in the sand and just saying no, is not the answer.
