SIX people signed up for Obamacare the first day.

I can hardly wait to find out we'll on SNL Saturday night.

Amy and Franken are quiet. At least Pelosi required her entire staff to go with Obamacare.

Anybody here, seen my old friend Thomas Jefferson, or George Washington, or Abraham Lincoln, or Dwight Eisenhower, or Harry Truman, or Zell Miller, or Herman Cain? We really need them right about now.

Great post merritt, love the part about freedom being a tough sell. But it's also heartbreaking how did the United States become the nanny states? I'd be careful about looking to the republicans for the solutions, the current (R) brand also includes many weasels that have stabbed us in the back just as quickly as the (D) brand has. This country is void of leadership instead we get Santa Claus,I love Santa to but the HO HO HO every thing's free is going to fail. I'd much rather here the truth especially the truth we don't want to hear. Courage, integrity, honor, do they exist anymore? And even if we find the next George Washington he/she will still be taking on Santa Claus, and his lapdog media hellbent on destroying any conservative ideas.

I was thinking the question of why hartman thinks the way he/she/it does may never be answered, but the reason has now been offered - NPR.

We can disregard all future comments from H, who admittedly has trouble balancing his/her/its checkbook, unless, of course, you like the entertainment value.

Republicans have plenty of solutions, but unfortunately freedom has become a tough sell in this country. It's much easier to tell people someone else is the cause of their problems and we're going to help you fix it. The truth is, that is an outright lie and government causes many of the issues we have in this country. They create the mess and then they claim to have the solution. It's a sick cycle that liberals eat up. Why? Because they believe they are the only ones smart enough to fix it. In the end, they only make things worse.

"We have to pass it to see what's in it" Heck, Nancy Pelosi "bought it" before she even knew what Obamacare was, so now every liberal in the U.S.A expects each American to "buy it". "Buy" the exaggerated claims of maximum cost, since proven false. "Buy" the claims that you can keep your original insurace, proven false. "Buy" the claim that you can keep your doctor, proven iffy at best. Yeah we were supposed to "buy" alot of things that have not come to pass. Big surprise! So yeah hartmann you can "buy" Obamacare, and get dragged right into what is Obama's putrid healthcare flagship.

Let's hear some facts Hartman. Which of my statements about ACA are not correct ? Anything I brought that does not pertain to the topic was in response to a comment made by you. I believe you are the one who can't stay on topic. Probably due to lack of credible information.

hartmann, yeah Public Television is in fact a far left outlet and an Obama coddler. Remember Juan Williams? From Public Television's point of view he was too conservative, so out he went,on a trumped up charge, lack of PC of all absurd things! Practically everything Samuel Clemens ever spoke or wrote had a tinge of humor to it, Duh! As far as Henry Ford, you drive his legacy everyday, yeah right, he's a factory worker. Plus he did vastly improve factory conditions WITHOUT d__n union meddling! As far as your LA Times point, I can only say What the heck are you talking about? There, does that clear things up hartmann?

No offense taken Hartman, I don't hate you or even dislike you, I even admire your passion, better than apathy. And yes my heritage is mostly German so yep, I'm Aryan. I'll ignore that Norwegian part cause my grandmother made me eat lutefisk, thats child abuse. As Scout said I'm very happy as a conservative. I love my family and friends, some are even liberals we spar and argue but remain friends, (don't tell em were gonna sacrifice them to the deer gods in 2 weeks). You wanna know where I'm coming from Hartman listen to Charlie Daniels- You don't like the way I'm living, just leave this long haired,(more bootcamp style) country boy alone.

Pointing out your ignorance with regard to the Affordable Care Act, Scout, is NOT a matter of mincing words. You are obviously grossly misinformed - no wonder none of your comments pertain to the subject at hand.

Mincing words again Hartman. I don't care what you call it. It's government mandated and controlled insurance. If your current coverage is better or worse than the government requirements you will be penalized and the IRS is in charge of enforcing it.

Backwards again Hartman, liberals love to marginalize anyone who doesn't agree with their opinions. And yes NPR is very liberal, bought and paid for using our tax dollars by the same liberal politicians who are trying to buy 11 million new immigrant votes by giving them citizenship. When a conservative gets caught in a scandal they call it criminal, when a liberal is in a scandal they call it progressive.

Mark Twain would say you are an ass.

"In the liberal eye the only acceptable plan and the only one you can have without penalty is the one they provide, Obama Care."

Please Scout, tell me you are not stupid enough to believe that the government is actually providing health care. Tell me you understand that the ONLY change in our health care system is the fact no person can be denied health insurance and every individual must have health insurance. There is no such thing as "Obamacare". Its a make believe word used by Republicans to describe the Affordable Care Act. Insurance companies are still providing insurance and the same health care providers are still treating patients. You do understand that you can't buy "obamacare", right?

No Hartman, conservatives are basically a happy bunch. I like my job, I like where I live, I like my neighbors and I love my family. I'm just tired of an overspending government that is putting our country more indebt every day. And a government that is telling us what type of health plan we are allowed without having to pay a penalty is just fuel on the fire. I really stay happy until some liberal whack job comes along and tells me they are going to fix what is wrong in my life.

No offense Kaptain, because as you well know liberals abhor marginalizing others, but your rant is pure nonsense. Let me guess, did you copy it from the Heritage Foundation Aryan Youth handbook?

So NPR is "a far left news outlet, a bonafide Obama coddler" NBHH? That is hilarious, as is calling Mark Twain "mostly a comedian". I guess you would consider Henry Ford "mostly" a factory worker then, right?

You're right NBHH, the LA Times are positively giddy over the prospect of Republicans gaining Congressional seats in the next election as evidenced by this quote: "The overarching task for Republicans is to lower their profile and do the job they're paid to do. Come November 2014, they can only hope a majority of voters believes they can govern constructively, not merely resist destructively."

Gosh even the LA Times think the Republican resistance has been destructive.

Great post Kaptain ! Obama Care is a perfect example of liberals telling us what is best for us. If you have a health care plan that they deem low quality you lose it and are required to buy Obama Care or get fined. If you have a plan that is deemed too good, a "Cadillac Plan" you get fined. In the liberal eye the only acceptable plan and the only one you can have without penalty is the one they provide, Obama Care.

ism trumps faith for liberals. Taking your faith seriously means drawing hard lines about right and wrong and what's simply not allowed. Liberals demand that even God bow down to the alter of liberalism. Feelings are more important than logic; Liberals base their positions on emotions, not facts and logic and then they work backwards to shore up their position. This is why it's a waste of time to convince a liberal of anything based on logic. You can't "logic" someone out of a position that they didn't use "logic" to come up with in the first place. Intentions are much more important than results; Liberals decide to support something if it makes them feel good about themselves. A government program that wastes billions is a triumph to the left if it has a compassionate sounding name. A "Saving women and puppies bill" would get wide liberal support regardless of outcome. All solutions must be govt. oriented. There is nothing scarier to liberals than free p

There may not be a an official rule book for being liberal, but that doesn't mean there aren't rules. What liberals like should be mandatory, what they don't like should be banned. It's not enough for liberals to love gay marriage; everyone must be forced to love gay marriage. It's not enough for liberals to be afraid of guns; guns must be banned. Then liberals say, "were all about freedom of choice" unless the woman chooses not to abort her child. Liberals they demand tax-payor funded killing of babies, but are opposed to capital punishment for murderers. The past is always inferior to the present; Liberals view traditions, policies, and morals, of past generations as arbitrary designs put in place by less enlightened people. Because of this they don't pay attention as to why traditions developed or to possible ramifications of their social engineering. Liberalism is a jealous god and no other God may come before it. A liberal Christian or Jew is an oxymoron because liberal

hartman, let's see you are quoting Mark Twain? mostly a comedian so I would obviously laugh; Woodrow Wilson? Obama's mentor, you know the one Calvin Coolidge had to do massive clean up after? The others? Well Beecher couldn't have been more wrong about the U.S. through 200 years, but if he were to be talking about this moment, well, he would likely delete "conservative", and insert "liberal"; Lastly, you are hanging credibility on a far left news outlet, a bonafide Obama coddler. You got something from MSNBC or the Huffington Post or Media Matters? Try the LA Times. They only allow commentary on climate change if you don't say bad things about widdoo fictitious global warming. You see where this is going?

I made this point earlier in the discussion; "Conservatives sure are a miserable bunch, just read their comments." I must say, you haven't disappointed - your comments are just more of the same.

I heard on NPR this morning that the new Republican strategy is to sit on any and all pending Legislation - they don't want to give Obama ANYTHING that might be considered a victory. No immigration reform, no budget agreement, NOTHING! What a sorry group and with redistricting in place its likely we'll see more of the same from Republicans - NOTHING. The issues plaguing the startup of the ACA will be resolved. With any luck voters will resolve the issue of non-functioning Legislators.
