One step at a time

September 9, 2013 - Karin Elton
My 16-month-old granddaughter has been really close to walking for some time now. She has been cruising the living room furniture for months and she can walk pretty well with someone holding her hand.

Yes, 16 months is old for not walking and she doesn’t talk yet. But she’s doing really well for someone who started out life three months premature and weighing one pound, 13 ounces.

Anyway, Aubrianna (“Aubrey,” “Aubz,” “Aubby”) was in the kitchen with Mommy, Auntie and Grandma when she stood on her own for about 20 seconds. We were all thrilled with that achievement and I called her grandpa into the room to see her and then she walked to him! Then he had her walk to me and she also toddled between Auntie and Mommy.

Yay, Aubby!
