Hygiene drive in October

United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) is coordinating our second personal hygiene drive this year to benefit area food shelves, crisis programs, schools, etc. during the month of October. Personal hygiene items are an on-going need at various schools and human service providers.

All items will stay local and will benefit youth, families and seniors in the UWSWMN service area. UWSWMN serves Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Yellow Medicine and portions of Cottonwood, Lac qui Parle, Nobles and Redwood counties. Only brand new; unopened items will be accepted. For this collection, we are requesting full size items but travel size items will also be accepted.

Special focus:

Toilet paper, feminine hygiene products and adhesive bandages.

Personal care items needed:

Shampoo, conditioner, soap, body wash, deodorant, shaving cream, mouthwash, hand sanitizer, toothpaste, lotion, razors, toothbrushes, dental floss, diapers, wipes and tissues.

Gift cards to purchase additional items:

Hy-Vee, Menard’s and Walmart
