Time to teach students to think outside the ‘politically correct box’

To the editor:

My 4-16 letter detailed 2 reasons why the earth is not billions of years old; here’s another:

Carbon 14 has been detected in diamonds and coal. Conventional geology tells us coal can be up to 300 million years old, and diamonds over 1 billion. No C14 will remain in a sample more than about 100,000 years old.

Is the earth is only about 6,000 years old?

We know from analyzing oilfield records detailing stratified layers of sedimentary rock which span across the globe; that a worldwide catastrophic flood did happen. Human history also mentions the great flood in cultures from around the world, i.e. Chinese, Mayan, Columbian, Powhatan tribe in the U.S., and the book of Genesis. Even evolutionists admit of catastrophic event that caused about 75% of species to go extinct millions of years ago. (They must demand millions of years to make their ‘evolution fantasy-world’ seem believable!).

Some estimate that the amount of carbon in the pre-flood biosphere was about 500 higher than

Today’s level; (based off the amount of oil and coal present in modern times). If that’s the case then the ratio of carbon-14 to carbon-12 in a sample will look quite small compared to today’s C14 to C12 ratio, which then leads us to believe that the sample is very old; but no older than 100,000yrs.

The sample will appear even older if we take into account that earth’s magnetic field was stronger at that time, which then blocked out more cosmic rays than it does today. Less cosmic radiation means less C14 was formed in the atmosphere, which then brings down the C14/C12 ratio even lower. (Note; using tree rings to count years past is not reliable; trees can have multiple rings per year.)

Lastly, we find intact osteocyte cells, soft flexible blood vessels and collagen in dinosaur bones that supposedly are 68 to 500 million years old. Those parts cannot survive even for a million years according to protein decay rate studies.

Our defective education system teaches kids to ‘think inside’ the ‘politically correct box’.

‘Reality’ needs to take precedence over fantasy.
