Franklin Hyllested

April 16, 1933-May 3, 2021

TRACY — Services for Franklin Delano “Frank” Hyllested, 88 of Tracy, formerly of Hopkins, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Tracy Area Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, guests will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Monday, May 3, 2021, at Sanford Sioux Falls Medical Center.

He was born April 16, 1933, to Peter and Martha (Vogelsberg) Hyllested in Tracy. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in May 1954. He was stationed overseas and received the National Defense Service Medal and he was honorably discharged in May 1957.

Survivors include his sons, Jason of Williston, North Dakota and Joel of Golden Valley; sisters, Carol Wendt of Lakeville and Johanna Bartlett of Oklahoma.
