MARSHALL — A private family service will be held for Charlie Richard Fischer, infant son of David and Sam (Downing) Fischer. Burial will take place at St. Eloi Catholic Cemetery in Ghent.

Baby Charlie Richard Fischer was born on January 17, 2021 to Samantha and David Fischer. He captured his parents’ hearts immediately with his big dark eyes, Fischer nose, and receding hairline to match his daddy. The time spent snuggling with Charlie will forever be some of the best of Sam and David’s lives. 

Right from the start, Charlie was a hard worker fighting for more time with mom and dad. He gave it all he had, but after 15 hours of life, he became their angel baby for reasons unknown to anyone, including the large medical team that did everything they could for him. 

The list of people who love him is too long to note, but includes parents, David and Samantha Fischer, grandparents Dan (Jan) Fischer, Erin (Eric) Frederiksen, and Terri Downing, great grandparents, Charles (Bernice) Fischer and Richard (Margaret) Jolstad, aunts and uncles, Matthew (Whitney) Fischer, Melissa Fischer, Nicholas (Katie) Fischer, Katie Teague, Zachary Frederiksen, John Nordin, Eliana Nordin, Amber Downing, Rebecca Downing, and Tiffanie Downing, and cousins, Lennon and Nova Fischer and Quinn, Avery, Court, and Jack Teague.
