HADLEY — Services for Joy Swan, 91, of Hadley, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Hadley Lutheran Church in Hadley, MN on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Ossefoort officiating. Interment is at Slayton Memorial Gardens in Slayton. Following the interment the family will gather at Gullord Park in Slayton for a time of food and fellowship. She died Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Minneota Manor in Minneota.

She was born on March 3, 1929, on the family farm in Slayton Township, Murray County to Martin “Gene” and Anna Volk Karl.

Survivors include her three daughters, Roseann Swan of Hadley, Doris Swan of Rock Rapids, Iowa and Gail Mitchell of Harrisburg, South Dakota; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three siblings, Wallace Karl of Alexandria, Calvin Karl of Scandia and Lois Bruns of Lake Crystal.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arvid; brother, Virgil Karl and twin sister, Joyce Borman.
