Jerome Halbur

SLAYTON — Services for Jerome “Jerry” Joseph Halbur, 83, of Slayton will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Ann’s Church in Slayton. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Marshall. St. Ann’s Church is requiring masks to be worn throughout the entire Mass due to the COVID-19 restrictions. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry’s honor can be made to St. Ann’s Catholic Church. Totzke Funeral Home of Slayton is entrusted with arrangements.

He died Friday, May 22, 2020, at Ava’s House, a Sanford Hospice Facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Her was born March 19, 1937, in Iona, to Frank and Thecla Nytes Halbur.

Survivors include his wife, Jeanette of Slayton; son, Jim of Mankato; two grandchildren; six siblings, Roger of Slayton, Kathy Johanning of Grass City, IN, Mary Hentges of Black Duck, Leon of Maple Grove, Jean Hentges of Iona, and Marlys Pomeranke of Willmar.
