E.C. Sigurdson

SUN LAKES, Ariz. — Services for E.C. “Sig” Sigurdson, 89, of Sun Lakes, Ariz., formerly of Minneota, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Minneota. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Minneota. Military rites provided by U.S. American Legion Post 199 and Minneota/Taunton VFW Post 5334 of Minneota. He died in his sleep Sept. 29, 2019, in Sun Lakes, Arizona.

He was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Minneota, to Chris and Edna (Thortsen) Sigurdson. He joined the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and rose to the rank of staff sergeant.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen; sons, Chris and Scott; six grandchildren; and sister, Betty Prefer of Farmington.
