Shirley Sullivan

MARSHALL — A private family and relatives graveside service for Shirley M. Sullivan, 91, of Maple Grove, formerly of Marshall will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Per Shirley’s wishes there will be a private gathering for family and relatives from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park 763-560-3100. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Alzheimer’s or a charity of donor’s choice.

She died Friday, June 7, 2019.

She was born in Minneota to Gislie Johnson and Bertha (Johnson) Johnson. She graduated from Minneota High School in 1946. She was employed at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. She and M. Patrick Sullivan of Marshall were married Aug. 16, 1948. To this union six children were born. She was a homemaker until 1966. She was employed at Skewes Jewelry, Marshall and then (Western State Bank) Bremer First American Bank & Trust 1968 for 22 years. She retired March 1990.

Survivors include her brother, Virgil (Jean) Johnson; children, Valerie Schrum, Sandra (Douglas) Hess, Tamera Rewerts, Kim (Patty) Sullivan, Maureen (Paul) Goyette, Joel (Elizabeth) Sullivan; grandchildren, Jason Schrum, Shaina (Zac) Vekich; Nathan, Matthew, Taylor Hess; Michael (Jessica), Daniel (Richelle), Christopher Rewerts; Stephany, Marissa, Jon Paul Goyette; Harry Sullivan; and 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and relatives.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband M. Patrick Sullivan and sister Marian Wigness.
