Cynthia Andries

June 13, 1957-May 2, 2019

TRACY — A visitation for Cynthia “Cindy” Andries, 61, of Ontario, Calif., will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday at the Life Remembrance Center of Tracy. Burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tracy. A luncheon will take place afterward at Shay’s in Marshall, located in the Ramada Inn.

Cindy died Thursday, May 2, 2019.

Cynthia “Cindy” Ann Andries was the second child and daughter of Charles R. Andries and Constance (Kass) A. Andries. She was born on June 13, 1957, in Los Angeles, California, and spent about 33 years of her life in Ontario, California, where she made her home. Cindy went to college on an athletic scholarship for basketball, to Biola University in La Mirada, California. After college she went to work for Bishop Amat Memorial High School in southern California, where she worked for 39 years until her death. She held many positions at the school: coach, dean of discipline, master scheduler, counselor, and math teacher. Cindy was known for always being young at heart, as well as her spontaneous sense of humor. She loved her sports, especially football, which she would love to watch with her dad. When she was younger she would travel quite frequently, though her favorite place was always with family. Then there were the special times she spent with her four nephews, including summer vacation visits to Aunt Cindy’s. She made sure to keep up with all their accomplishments. Next to that was her love for her dogs, Nicki, Taylor and Zoey. Cindy was someone you could always go to for advice as she was wise beyond her years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Constance.

She is survived by an older sister Charlotte and her husband Michael from Mechanicsburg, PA, along with her nephews Ian Smith (Bryanna), Erik Smith (Alexandra), Kyle Smith (Kristina) and Curtis Smith all from PA; and her younger brother Charles Scott and his wife Cindy of Dewey, AZ. She had a very close group of work friends and lifelong friends that were very special to her, and for them she will be missed beyond words.

Till we are together again.
