Lyle Campbell

WALNUT GROVE – Services for Lyle Patrick Campbell, 82, of Walnut Grove will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. A private family burial will be in the Walnut Grove Cemetery at a later time. Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died peacefully Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls while surrounded by family after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born March 10, 1937, near Currie, to Leonard and Marie (Sollinger) Campbell.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; son, Michael of Eden Prairie; daughter, Jody Layman of Balaton; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Agnes Stirn of Currie, Pat Atkins of Lake Wilson, Lavone Pierson of Alden, New York, Kathleen Hohler of Tracy, Phylis Anderson of Noelle, Arkansas, and Arlene Ross of Currie.
