Constance Lanners

March 22, 1944-May 3, 2019

MARSHALL – Mass of Christian Burial for Constance “Connie” Lanners, 75, of Marshall, formerly of St. Leo, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. Leo Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday with a rosary at 4 p.m. and a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. at the church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place in the St. Leo Catholic Cemetery.

Connie died Friday, May 3, 2019, at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Constance JoAnn (King) Lanners was born March 22, 1944, in Canby to Lawrence and Caroline (Kamrath) King. Connie grew up and attended school in Canby. On Sept. 9, 1961, she was united in Marriage to Gilbert Lanners at St. Leo Catholic Church. Connie helped farm all her life, in addition to working for a time at Innovex in Montevideo and various other jobs. The couple moved to Marshall in 1997, where Connie was active at the Adult Community Center. She will be remembered for her love of any and all card games.

She is survived by her son David of St. Leo; daughter Ann of Marshall; mother Caroline King of Canby; sister Barb (the late Robert) Fry of St. Leo; brother Billy (Linda) King of St. Leo; sister-in-law Linda King of St. Leo; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Connie was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert, father Lawrence King, brother Mike King, nephews Harlan Fry and Joe King.
