Dave Alleckson

May 12, 1946-April 3, 2019

PARK RAPIDS — Services for Dave Alleckson, 72, of Park Rapids, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, with visitation from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church. Burial will take place in the Hope Lutheran Cemetery of Minneota at a later date. Condolences may be left at ceasefuneralhome.com

Dave died unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, April 3, 2019.

Dave Alleckson was born May 12, 1946, in Hendricks to Peter and Marie (Haugen) Alleckson. After graduating from the Minneota High School, he enlisted in the United States Airforce, and served in Vietnam. Dave became a master electrician, and owned his own business for 30 years. He and Dee DeVlaeminck were married Sept. 20, 1975. Together they raised their family in Willmar. He deeply valued his commitment to his country, his faith, and his family, and was proud of his Norwegian/Icelandic heritage. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel, playing cards, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife, Dee of Park Rapids; children Suzie Porter and Lori Clark (Nick), both of Detroit Lakes, Jon Alleckson (Julie) of Rochester, and Peter Alleckson of Park Rapids; grandchildren: Bryce, Jackson, Addie, Andrew, Owen and Olivia; a brother, Bob of Minneota; his sisters-in-law Velma and Lorraine of Canby, and many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Dave is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Donna and Marge Pesch, and brothers, Mark, Jim, John and Harvey.
