Donald Lensing

WABASSO — Mass of Christian Burial for Donald Lensing, 93, of Wabasso will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial is in St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Friday, March 8, 2019, at his home surrounded by family.

He was born June 20, 1925, on the family farm near Wabasso, to August and Agnes (Fangman) Lensing. He was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1944 and served in Europe and later in the Philippines during WWII. He received his honorable discharge in 1946.

Survivors include his wife, Jane; children, Jerome of Rochester, Chris Rohlik of Vesta, Dave of Humboldt, Iowa, John of Farmington, Karen Schneider of Sioux Falls, S.D., Marilyn Rydberg of Lakeville, and Lori Lensing of Fort Dodge, Iowa; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and sister, Cyrilla MacDonald of Wabasso.
