Gordon Landuyt

TRACY — Visitation for Gordon “Gordy” Landuyt, 67, of Tracy, will be for one hour starting at 11:30 a.m. today at the Tracy Area Funeral Home, followed by a prayer service. Burial will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery.Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

He died Monday, May 14, 2018, at his home.

Gordon John “Gordy” Landuyt was born Dec. 4, 1950, in Marshall to George and Erma (Langsweirdt) Landuyt. He graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1968. Gordy served in the U.S. Army and was stationed for a period of time in Germany. He was a member of the Tracy American Legion, enjoyed being outdoors and his work as a handyman. He loved watching the Minnesota Gophers and Twins. Most of all, Gordy loved being with his family, and being surrounded by children – they were naturally drawn to him. He always had treat bags prepared for all the kids who visited.

Gordy is survived by his son, Marc Landuyt; siblings: Gerald (Kandy) Landuyt, Gloria (Roger) VanOverbeke, Glad Henning, George Jr. (Kris) Landuyt, Gail (Tom) Boyum and Gwen (Dale Jr.) Johnson; sister-in-law Doris Landuyt; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Georgena Smith and Gary Landuyt.
