Mavis Norgaard

LUVERNE — Services for Mavis Elenora Allan Bortnem Norgaard, 87, of Luverne, formerly of Tyler, will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the United Church of Garretson, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Summit Hill Cemetery, rural Garretson. Arrangements are with Minnehaha Funeral Home.

Mavis died Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society-Mary Jane Brown Home in Luverne.

Mavis was born Jan. 14, 1931, to Sidney and Elenora (Reemts) Allan and grew up in the Garretson area. In 1970 she moved to Tyler and married Keith Norgaard.

Mavis is survived by her children, Randy Bortnem and his special friend, Karen Dagel, Tyler, and Kathy (Dale) Feekes, Luverne; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marlene Farrand.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a precious grandson; and a brother, Duane Allan.
