HANLEY FALLS — A 90-year-old Wood Lake man was injured in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and Yellow Medicine County Road 18 near Hanley Falls, the Minnesota State Patrol said.

The crash was reported at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday. At the time of the crash, a 2008 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Maurice Heber Joel, 90, of Wood Lake, was westbound on County Road 18, and a 2017 Dodge Caravan driven by Joel Mark Schultz, 50, of Marshall, was southbound on Highway 23, the State Patrol said. Daniels’ vehicle was stopped on County Road 18 on the west side of the highway, the State Patrol said.

Joel was taken to the Granite Falls hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. Joel was not wearing a seat belt, the State Patrol said.
