MPD investigating string of damaged vehicles

MARSHALL — Marshall Police are seeking information about damage done to several vehicles parked on South Fourth Street. On May 14, the Marshall Police Department received seven reports of vehicles with scratch marks from an object, possibly a key. The vehicles were all parked in the area of the Lyon County Retirement Home, at 200 South Fourth Street, Police said.

It appeared as though someone walked through the area and intentionally scratched the vehicles as they passed by, Police said. The MPD, in conjunction with the Marshall Crime Fund, is offering a $200 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible for the damage.

People with information are asked to call Marshall Police at 537-7000. Callers can remain confidential.
