A 2008 Subaru driven by Kathryn Tyykila, 20, of Canby, and a 2018 Ford driven by Tashya Evans, 35, of Canby, were both northbound on Highway 68 at the time of the crash, the State Patrol said. Evans and a passenger in her vehicle, Katherine Watson, 46, of Dilworth, Minnesota, also received non life-threatening injuries. Both Evans and Watson were taken to Avera Marshall Medical Center, the State Patrol said.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department, Ghent Fire and Rescue, and North Memorial Ambulance all assisted at the scene of the crash.
