MARSHALL – Taha Abdulrahman Sheikh, 22, of Marshall, pleaded innocent in Lyon County District Court Dec. 2 to charges of attempting to disarm a peace officer and fourth degree assault. A complaint alleges Sheikh assaulted and attempted to disarm a peace officer in Marshall on July 1. A trial date was set for March 19, and a pre-trial hearing was set for March 10.

MARSHALL – Jay Thomas Kiihn, 54, of Tracy, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Dec. 2 to charges of driving after cancellation – inimical to public safety, court records said. Kiihn drove with a canceled license in Tracy on Aug. 30, court records said. Kiihn was sentenced to one year in jail with 185 days stayed, pay a $100 fine and two years probation with conditions including serve 180 days in jail with credit for 85 days already served, and abide by laws.

MARSHALL – Shannon Eugene Allee, 44, of Russell, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Dec. 2 to charges of second degree driving while impaired – refusal to test, court records said. Allee refused to take a chemical test in Lyon County on July 15, court records said. Allee was sentenced to one year in jail with 320 days stayed, pay a $600 fine and two years probation with conditions including serve 45 days in jail, abstain from alcohol and drugs and obtain a chemical use assessment.
