MARSHALL – Jamison Davis Bartz, 23, of Brookings, S.D., appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 10 on charges of refusal to submit to a chemical test, fourth degree driving while impaired and open bottle. A complaint alleges Bartz refused to take a chemical test in Marshall on Aug. 10. A hearing was set for Oct. 7. Bail for Bartz was set at $12,000 without conditions, or with conditions including appear in court, abstain from alcohol and drugs and do not enter bars or liquor stores.

MARSHALL – Craig Alden Rund, 36, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 10 on charges of theft and theft by false representation. A complaint alleges Rund charged more than $34,000 to a former employer’s account between November 2009 and March 2014. A hearing was set for Sept. 23. Bail for Rund was set at $20,000 without conditions, or with conditions including appear in court and have no contact with the alleged victims.

MARSHALL – Paw Ner Moo, 46, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 9 on charges of malicious punishment of a child. A complaint alleges Moo maliciously punished a child in Marshall over a period from July 2013 to June 2014. A hearing was set for Oct. 23.

MARSHALL – Shannon Eugene Allee, 43, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 9 on charges of second degree driving while impaired – refusal to test, and third degree driving while impaired. A complaint alleges Allee refused to take a chemical test in Lyon County on July 15. A hearing was set for Oct. 7.

MARSHALL – Naomi Nyambura Githongo, 23, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 9 on charges of failure to provide proof of insurance and driving after revocation. A complaint alleges Githongo failed to provide proof of vehicle insurance in Marshall on June 26 and had more than two prior convictions in 10 years for the same offense. A hearing was set for Oct. 7.

MARSHALL – Darrius Antowon Shears, 23, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court Sept. 9 on charges of third degree assault. A complaint alleges Shears assaulted a woman in Marshall on Aug. 29. A hearing was set for Oct. 7.

MARSHALL – Austin Scott West, 20, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 9 to charges of third degree driving while impaired, court records said. West drove while impaired in Marshall on May 16, court records said. West was sentenced to one year in jail with 335 days stayed, pay a $700 fine and two years probation with conditions including serve 30 days in jail, abide by laws, and abstain from alcohol and drugs.

MARSHALL – Matthew Alan Jenniges, 19, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court Sept. 9 to charges of fourth degree criminal property damage, court records said. Jenniges poured paint on a trailer in Marshall on May 29 or May 30, court records said. Jenniges was sentenced to 90 days in jail, pay a $400 fine and one year probation with conditions including abide by laws, have no contact with the victims of the property damage and complete 100 hours of community service. Additional charges of third degree criminal property damage were dismissed.
