MARSHALL – Jose Alberto Jacinto-Garcia, 21, of Cottonwood, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 22 on charges of third degree driving while impaired, failure to provide proof of insurance, driving without a valid license and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle. A complaint alleges Jacinto-Garcia drove while impaired and without a valid license in Cottonwood on July 4. A hearing was set for Aug. 5.

MARSHALL – Brendan Roger VanRyswyk, 22, of Marshall, pleaded guilty in Lyon County District Court July 22 to charges of open bottle and criminal vehicular injury, court records said. VanRyswyk crashed a vehicle in Marshall on March 1, causing injuries to his passenger including a broken pelvis and ribs, court records said. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered, and a sentencing hearing was set for Sept. 16.

MARSHALL – Michael John Nelson, 53, of Sioux Falls, S.D., appeared in Lyon County District Court July 22 on two counts of second degree driving while impaired charges, no proof of insurance charges and speeding charges. A complaint alleges Nelson drove while impaired in Lyon County on July 3, and had prior DWI convictions in 2007 and 2012. A hearing was set for Aug. 19.

MARSHALL – Lester Corey Bates, 36, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 22 on two counts of third degree driving while impaired charges. A complaint alleges Bates drove while impaired in Marshall on July 6. A hearing was set for Aug. 5.

MARSHALL – Mohamed Agane Warsame, 33, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 22 on charges of domestic assault and violation of a domestic assault no-contact order. A complaint alleges Warsame assaulted a man in Marshall on July 9, and had broken a no-contact order with a different person. A hearing was set for Aug. 19.

MARSHALL – Jeffrey Allan Miller, 48, of Garvin, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 22 on two counts of third degree driving while impaired charges. A complaint alleges Miller drove while impaired in Garvin on May 24. A hearing was continued to Aug. 5.

MARSHALL – Adrian Allan Jones, 27, of Marshall, appeared in Lyon County District Court July 22 on charges of fifth degree controlled substance crime and possession of a hypodermic needle. A complaint alleges Jones possessed methamphetamines in Marshall on July 7. A hearing was set for Aug. 5.
