Crime/accidents for March 6

TRACY – An animal complaint incident was reported at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday on the 100 block of East Hollett Street, Tracy Police said. No further information was available.

MARSHALL – A juvenile matter reported at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday on the 800 block of South 4th Street was referred to Human Services, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL – A parked and unattended 2010 Toyota was damaged when struck by an unknown vehicle in an incident reported at 9:22 p.m. Tuesday on the 1500 block of East College Drive, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL – A report was sent to the county attorney for consideration of assault and domestic assault charges on a Marshall man, 50, and a report was sent to the county attorney for consideration of obstructing legal process and aiding an offender charges on a Marshall man, 24, in an incident reported at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday on the 400 block of Kossuth Street, Marshall Police said.

COTTONWOOD – Parties in a harassment incident reported at 4:52 p.m. Tuesday were counseled, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

MINNEOTA – A fraud incident was reported at 2:13 p.m. Tuesday on the 100 block of Century Drive, Minneota Police said. No further information was available.

MARSHALL – A Marshall man, 58, was arrested for second degree refusal to test and third degree DWI, and was brought to the Law Enforcement Center in an incident reported at 12:21 p.m. Tuesday, Marshall Police said.

MARSHALL – A wallet and its contents were reported lost at 12:20 p.m. Tuesday, Marshall Police said.

MINNEOTA – An incident described as all other was reported at 8:14 a.m. Tuesday on the 700 block of North Monroe Street, Minneota Police said. No further information was available.

MINNEOTA – A family matter incident was reported at 7:19 a.m. Tuesday on the 200 block of South Jackson Street, Minneota Police said. No further information was available.

TRACY – An incident described as all other was reported at 12:53 a.m. Tuesday on the 500 block of Morgan Street, Tracy Police said. No further information was available.

Accidents

COTTONWOOD – A 2008 Chevrolet driven by a Cottonwood woman, 45, received light damage when it slid into a mailbox in a property damage accident reported at 7:48 p.m. Tuesday on Northwood Drive, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Department said.

GRANITE FALLS – The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a crash that injured two people, including a Marshall resident, on Tuesday. The crash was reported at 5:55 p.m. at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 23 and U.S. Highway 212, the Minnesota State Patrol said. A 2005 Toyota driven by Mohamednur Hassan, 26, of Marshall, was southbound on Highway 23 when it failed to stop at a stop sign, the State Patrol said. The vehicle struck a westbound 2006 Acura driven by Margaret Ness, 47, of Brooklyn Park, the State Patrol said. Both vehicles were destroyed, the State Patrol said.

Hassan and Ness were taken to the Granite Falls hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the State Patrol said. The Granite Falls Ambulance responded at the scene.
