A visit from reindeer

Students at Park Side Elementary in Marshall got a special visit from live reindeer Friday morning, to learn hands-on about the Sami culture and the importance of reindeer. Dan and Kelly Pochardt from Red Stable Reindeer brought in two reindeers, Stella and Mika, with the support of a Pride in the Tiger Foundation grant to make the lesson possible. First grade teacher Emily Hoppe noted that the students and first grade team are appreciative of the grant to make the experience possible. The Pochardt’s also brought in reindeer antlers and fur samples for the students to hold and feel, as the students continued to show curiosity and amusement with asking several questions throughout the presentation.

Starting at $3.95/week.
