The Grinch slithered down St. Olaf Avenue in Canby Sunday night. For a moment, he hid behind a parked car before jumping out and approaching some children waiting for Santa. The children laughed, but otherwise wouldn’t have anything else to do with the Grinch. And just before Santa arrived in his sleigh, the Grinch dashed around the corner of a building and vanished. Adults and children lined St. Olaf Avenue to watch the Parade of Lights. It was one of the highlights of the Hometown Holidays weekend in Canby.
