It was their lucky day

LUCAN — Wintry weather might have been in the forecast, but it held off long enough for area residents to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Lucan.

People lined Main Street on Sunday afternoon for the community’s 35th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade.

Fire trucks, floats and farm equipment in John Deere green all made their way through town.

Above: The Milroy Go-Getters 4-H club had their very own pot of gold on their float. Parade marchers were decked out in plenty of shamrocks, and one 4-H marcher even brought along a crocheted leprechaun doll (at right).
