Commencement exercises rescheduled for Sept. 26

Commencement exercises for the Class of 2020 at Southwest Minnesota State University will be held Sept. 26 on campus.

Commencement for 565 students was originally to be held on May 9, but was postponed due to COVID-19.

“We wanted to hold a Commencement to celebrate our Class of 2020 members, who were unable to participate in the May 9 event,” said SMSU President Kumara Jayasuriya. “Commencement is the culmination of the educational journey for our students, and we look forward to our 2020 graduates walking across the stage, just as they had expected to earlier.”

The time and location of the event will be released at a later date.
