Head Start ground breaking

Lyon UCAP Executive Director Nancy Straw said she is hoping for a mild winter so the new Head Start building can be built in good time. She as well as Mayor Bob Byrnes, Lyon County Commissioner Gary Crowley, Marshall City Administrator Sharon Hanson, Economic Development Director Tara Onken, Head Start Director Mary Lockhart-Findling, Head Start families, UCAP staff and board members were among those who broke ground Tuesday afternoon.

The new building, which will be located next to the UCAP main office on South Saratoga Street, will house Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.
