At 12:14 p.m. Monday, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, along with Minneota First Responders and Marshall North Ambulance, responded to an unresponsive male east of Minneota in Westerheim Township Section 30. Upon arrival, Daniel Van Keulen, age 80, was pronounced dead on scene. There is no foul play suspected, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff’s deputies placed “do not cross” tape along 170th Street while they investigated the scene.
